OC Realm Creative Prompt #1: Role Reversal

Prompt for OC Realm’s Dreamwidth Community.

This is an idea that I’ve had for a while. Super simple and really goofy. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Basically, Keima wakes up one day and finds a younger version of his partner next to him. Shenanigans ensue.

The role reversal comes in as Keima has to be the responsible one for a change and a big brother figure to Kiyoshi. Keima has always been averse to caring for younger people and any sort of related responsibility, apart from pets—actually just dogs.

I like this idea because it puts Keima under stress and tests his character lol. The ten-year knowledge gap and events might reveal things to Keima about himself and Kiyoshi that he never thought about before.

As for Kiyoshi, it’s his chance to be pampered! Thing is he also lost his memory, but he wants to get pampered by this cool onii-san anyways! While this younger version is more timid, he’s also pretty reckless and direct with what he wants. Typical teen behavior. I hope it gets into Keima’s nerves haha.

Mood-wise, this idea can go both ways, wholesome sillyness or depressing af. I enjoy both. From Keima rejecting Kiyoshi’s advances like a gag romance manga to Keima talking with Kiyoshi about some heavy topics they didn’t talk about back then.

To make things a bit more simple, Kiyoshi is technically de-aged. He has all the memories but they have been blocked. So his de-aged version implicitly trusts Keima and is familiar with an environment that would have been foreign to his younger self.

Oh, and this happens after they return to Japan. Probably a year or two later.
