On more fannish updates, I started watching World Trigger Season 2. First, I rewatched the whole of Season 1. A good seventy-three episodes! Never got to finish it ten years ago when I first found the series so it was really exciting to see how it continued.

Then I started season 2. Hoo boy, that change in quality is crystal clear (ง ื▿ ื)ว . I forget the time gap between season one and two. I think season one aired of 2014? And season 2… pssshhh… I would say at least half a decade after. During that time the standard changed and I’m sure that’s why season one has more than seventy episodes while season two has the usual twelve.

Anyways, onto the actual events! I’m really happy to see more female characters present. I like seeing the teamwork between all the characters introduced in the previous season and how many got the spotlight. Kuma and Rei are peak yuri ship material haha.

The fights, likely because of the increase in quality animation and/or some changes or more experience from the staff, where much more engaging. I like animated fights where strategy is a key element and World Trigger is delivering it much more efficiently than in season 1.
