Project Idea: Handcoded h-card replace pronouns.cc page
h-card - Microformats Wiki. Of all of this microformats thing, I think an h-card would be the easiest to implement considering my skill level ๐ค. Not sure where to add it on my site though. Perhaps I could merge it with my nebulous idea of replacing my pronouns.cc with something handmade. An h-card looks like the same thing. #MaryLinks #MaryCodes Continue reading โ

Was about to rename my blog because it’s described on my link hub as Now so I looked around other blogs… big mistake. The average micro.blog user is very much outside the kinds of examples I sought. ArimaMary’s Microblog it it’s! Consistent with my other blogs if anything haha.

Truly “Man makes plan, God laughs” moment. Ended up adding a link to this micro blog on the Basics section instead. Because I intended to use this more often to capture thoughts, thus getting more use out of it, I think it belongs there instead of the Writing sections with the rest of the longform blogs where updates are more slow.

I finished announcing this account on Mastodon. Now I’m thinking how to link to this blog from my site. Or if I even want to. On my Mastodon account? Nah. Gotta have it on the linkhub for sure. It’s not social media, or the intended use isn’t as such. Writing section it is. Will have to use another icon style for it tho shucks. Let’s do that first.

I have the slight desire to change my light theme across my sites. Just a smidge.

Couldn’t implement micropub on my main site but webmentions was much easier! I just need to add a buttons haha.

Dang, I got micropub working–super easy by the way! email was the fastest and beginner-friendly way to authenticate using IndieAuth. Just had to add four lines of code to my homepage–but it seems Neocities doesn’t accept queries from third-party software? I’m not too surprised because it’s a static site host so I might just keep blogging at micro.blog

Rereading my intro post. On the one hand, I feel comfortable microblogging here just for myself. On the other hand, I am keenly aware there are open standards and tools I can implement on my site to microblog on my own terms without relying on a platform. That is my ideal and I want to slowly work on it.
