Haven’t even used zonelets for three months and I already want to change to an 11ty based one (-_-). Not really sure what I’m displeased about if not the amount of work going to make a brand new blog. I mean, I already started—it WORKS. Scared about the RSS generator workflow though. Wondering what to do with my website’s Newsfeed. On the one hand, it’s supposed to be a catch all for everything I’m doing across the web. On the other, it’s a real pain to update! 😫

Retrieved previous journals a couple of days ago with the intention of transcribing my LBGT+ Media collections. I want to add this to my website in a new page. Really excited about it where this is a reminder to get that done! 😆

The jury’s back from considering the idea of moving the Tumblr button on my linkhub to the Legacy section. More of the folks I care about have moved to Tumblr so it feels even less relevant to my life than before. Edit: Done!

Further considering how I want to apply this POSSE thing. Using Coyote’s site as an example, I would edit the blockquote at the end of each post “You can reply to this post via Dreamwidth, Pillowfort, or Mastodon.” Although I’m not sure about Mastodon. On the Fediverse, I share a short of announcement. Okay I guess folks can reply to that annoucement. That makes sense.
I should also add a link to webmentions which I’ve already set up on my site. Oh wait, microformats. Ahhh, too complicated.

For some reason the nav link to my 18+ blog on my site doesn’t work. Gotta fix that. Edit: Wow that’s weird, it works on desktop but not mobile. Anndd it also works on mobile. Anyways, case closed!

One other micro.blog workings lesson, webmentions from Mastodon show up on my micro.blog. Likely because I verified my Masto account with my website before adding webmentions. What a web!

Clearly I don’t know what Netlify is truly capable of. Apparently it has a serverless feature. Will use this guide of sorts a Mastodon mutual wrote to set up a microblog endpoint on my site.
Edit: Masto moot shared a repo with some pretty good documentation on how to implement a serverless micropub with Netlify.
Do I want to see whether I have all the piece set up a microblog on my site? I don’t wanna know just yet (ง ื▿ ื)ว

Project Idea: Handcoded h-card replace pronouns.cc page
h-card - Microformats Wiki. Of all of this microformats thing, I think an h-card would be the easiest to implement considering my skill level 🤔. Not sure where to add it on my site though. Was about to rename my blog because it’s described on my link hub as Now so I looked around other blogs… big mistake. The average micro.blog user is very much outside the kinds of examples I sought. ArimaMary’s Microblog it it’s! Consistent with my other blogs if anything haha.

Truly “Man makes plan, God laughs” moment. Ended up adding a link to this micro blog on the Basics section instead. Because I intended to use this more often to capture thoughts, thus getting more use out of it, I think it belongs there instead of the Writing sections with the rest of the longform blogs where updates are more slow.

I finished announcing this account on Mastodon. Now I’m thinking how to link to this blog from my site. Or if I even want to. On my Mastodon account? Nah. Gotta have it on the linkhub for sure. It’s not social media, or the intended use isn’t as such. Writing section it is. Will have to use another icon style for it tho shucks. Let’s do that first.
