Web Dev

Revamp

• Archive Tumblr art blog posts on microblog
  • This was the original intention of the microblog way back when I first got into web dev to be honestly. I already have the drafts of all of the posts in Markdown. Just gotta copy paste them into this project XD.

New

• Stories section
  • EDIT (06/22): The newest addition to my website(s). Lore! Character profiles! Definite info! Started with the section for the 18+ site because it was "smaller" and made a template that I need to promote. But maybe try to make it work without that Javascript first. Guess that's why I haven't prompted yet...
• Art Portfolio @ Wattpad
  • This one is the sole archive of most of my art phase (holy shit a DECADE ago—gasp) so it's imperative to archive them. However, I'm not sure whether I want to make them public, mostly because a lot of them are copies of fanart while other are fanart derivatives. So I would rather play it safe and create an archive in Markdown, using Obsidian and put it on my back up drive.
• Blog @ Wattpad
  • This one I don't need anyone to see. Think I'll just dump 'em in a Obsidian vault and send it to my back up drive.
• pre-blog @ Wattpad
  • A blog that has fics that I used as a blog before creating a proper book for it. Same as above. Just archive and send to back up.
• Game log
  • EDIT (06/22): Super belated but I'm playing with the CSV format to keep an offline databse. Tried converting it into HTML and it worked pretty well too. Not sure where to add it to my site yet or in which format.
  • A replacement for my Games Notion database.
• Watch log
  • EDIT (06/22): Same as above. Offline CSV copy that likely will converted to HTML and added to my site.
  • A replacement for my Films and Shows Notion database.
• ArimaMary workspace
  • EDIT (06/22): Think this will become my Projects pages on both sites with the Markdown version being the working copies. So. Much. To Transfer, ahhh.
  • A replacement for my Notion workspace.

On hold

• Digital Garden
  • As described in this post, I want to add a digital garden to my website. This is an attempt to reduce my reliance on Notion whose quality of service has dwindled in the past couple of years (addition of AI, selling user data, and limits to offline mode are some of the reasons behind my decision). Instead of switching to a popular service other small web folk use, a table on my own site is completely free. Furthermore, I checked several of those sites and they sell user data. No thanks!

Community

• Finish. That. WIP: Writer's Edition (intro)
  • Really wanted to get back to writing this July so of course I had to make an event. Quite a few people have joined me! It's been quite effective at getting me get those drafts published so far!
• Songs of Joy and Resistance (intro)
  • Started this on Pillowfort on a whim. I made two posts, one in the original post as an example and the other proper. Another user took it upon themselves to continue posting for Disability Pride Month so I edited the official post to include it as well!
• Inazuma Eleven Pride Event
  • EDIT (07/07): Check in #1 is posted.
  • EDIT (06/22): Prompts are out! Cross fingers I have the motivation to post the check-ins.
  • EDIT (06/01): And it's on! Call for Prompts open from May 30th to June 7th and creation period from June 8th to July 26th.
  • EDIT (05/28): Still thinking about this event. I have a lot of the details settled but the scope eludes me. I just can't decide!!!

On hold

• Pillowfort Fundrasing ft. Pillowfriends

  • Friend and I are planning a fundraising activity consisting of adding faces to pillow-shaped amigurumi. It will be capped at ten donations and complex expressions like open eyes and mouths will require a larger donation.
  • My role is to coordinate this. I need to look for some examples on how to do this. Fortunately, there's lots from the wonderful Pfio community.

• Ina11 Recs: Pillowfort community

  • EDIT (04/21): After setting my Tumblr account into legacy status, Ina11Recs is officially active only at DW atm. This is a really specific project so I'm wondering if I should just request to be admin of the Ina11 Pfio community and accept fic recs there. Maybe I'll make a post and see what folks think.
  • Have the idea of making a Pfio community the next iteration of Ina11Recs events, or perhaps crosspost--nah, too much work. The Ina11Recs DW comm is free to look at and I'll add all post to my website some day. So yeah, and idea for a Pfio comm.

I'm not holding myself too responsible for taking part in these challenges. It's a lot because I don't know how much I will be able to take part in which so this is more a year-long list of challenges I would like to participate to keep up the blogging habit.
